Who Kinderly is for

Kinderly is for parents and caregivers who are 18 or older. Children do not create accounts or use the app directly. You are responsible for the information you add about your family and for keeping your sign-in details private.

Kinderly is not medical advice

Kin, the companion inside Kinderly, offers ideas and support for everyday parenting moments. It is not a doctor, therapist, psychologist, or teacher, and nothing it says is a diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your child.

Use your own judgment about what fits your family. If your child is in danger or you are worried about their safety, contact emergency services or a healthcare provider right away.

Your account

Kinderly is in a free beta. Keep your password private and let us know if you think someone else has used your account. You can invite a partner or caregiver to your family; they get their own sign-in, and anyone you invite can see the same family information you can.

Your content

Everything you add to Kinderly, including your child’s profile, photos, journal entries, check-ins, conversations with Kin, and the social stories you create, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it so the app can work for your family, and nothing more. How we handle it is set out in our privacy policy.

Social stories and other things Kinderly generates for you are yours to use with your family. Please only upload photos and information you have the right to share.

What we ask of you

Use Kinderly for your own family. Please don’t try to access other families’ information, copy or resell the service, interfere with how it runs, or use it for anything unlawful or harmful.

This is a beta

Kinderly is in a free private beta. Features will change, some things will break, and we may pause or end the beta at any time. We’ll do our best to warn you before anything that affects your data. Kinderly is provided as is, and we can’t promise it will always be available or error free.

If we introduce paid plans later, we’ll tell you clearly before anything changes for your account.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Kinderly, Inc. is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that come from using, or not being able to use, the service. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which during the beta is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or by emailing us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. When an account is deleted, its data is removed as described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we’ll email you at the address on your account before it takes effect. For small clarifications, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.

Where we are

Kinderly, Inc. is based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and these terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada.
